Finance Manager\Controller
Job Description: To support our rapidly growing operations, we are looking for an accounting\financial controller to join our organization as the Finance Manager. The right person will be seasoned, self-driven and entrepreneur-in-spirit manager with proven record of successful sales of IT services. In addition to excellent compensation and benefits, the holder of this position will participate in generous profit sharing program. Details: As the Finance manager, you will join the management team of a young and dynamic team, devoted to high quality services to a growing list of business in areas ranging from Healthcare, legal and other professional services and businesses. We will provide you with the assistance to succeed and to grow professionally to your maximum capabilities. Primary Functions: Responsible for accurate collection and deposit of revenues. Create, implement, and manage processes and procedures for effective business office operations. Ensure compliance with business processes Analyze and report on revenues and expenditures Responsible for accurate refunds. Ensure compliance with applicable laws governing payments and fees. Ensure monies are deposited, and bills processed, and payments made in a timely manner. Ensure timely reporting AR\AP\Payroll Interface with other departments to ensure appropriate accounting and distribution of funds are completed Responsible for a the payroll process (contracts, documentation, adjunct pay, stipend payments, part time pay, benefit pay) Manage and control budgeting Review purchase requisitions and assist personnel with purchasing policies and procedures Continually strive to improve the management information provided to the business. This should include cost, headcount, capital spending and other key driver information. Required Skill Set: This position requires a college degree in accounting or business with experience. Three years of financial accounting AP\AR\payroll and reporting experience. Experience with an automated general ledger system is required. Graduate level courses in accounting or an advanced degree or certification in finance, accounting or management (e.g. CFA, CPA, and CMA) would be viewed favorably. Thorough knowledge and understanding of educational institutions and how financial decisions and policies impact operations and instructional areas Detail oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills. Highly motivated with ability to work independently within the context of a matrix organization and drive results. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise software Personal characteristics: Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Reliable and trustful Well organized with excellent follow-up skills Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients' senior management, IT and operation staff.
